NorthShore University HealthSystem Lake Forest Medical Office Building

This challenging project involved the adaptive re-use of an existing restaurant, which was somewhat of a landmark in the community, into a state-of-the-art medical office building. As a point of interest, the restaurant was owned by former Apollo astronaut Jim Lovell. Besides a total renovation of the existing 3 story building, a 2 story addition was added. The addition replicates the French country style of the original building such that the combined structure is visually seamless. The 18,750 square foot building contains 24 exam rooms, a procedure room, a blood lab, and traditional support facilities.
