Marcus Powell

Marcus recently joined the Interwork team in 2026 and has 20+ years of experience in Architecture and Project Management in the Chicago area.  He has worked for a variety of clients and markets, including Healthcare, Hospitality, Institutional, Higher education, K-12, Lab, and High-end Residential.  Marcus has always enjoyed the problem-solving nature of architecture and design, searching for innovative solutions, and focusing on the successful delivery of every project.  Marcus is a licensed architect (NCARB Certified) with a Bachelor of Arts from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Master of Architecture from the University of Illinois at Chicago.

Outside Interests: Coaching gymnastics, reading, traveling, and watching British mystery shows.

If I weren’t an architect, I would be a history professor.
